Description:

Provides information to patients, family members, friends, and health professionals about leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Promotes increased federal funding for blood cancer research. Influences health care reform issues in order to craft policies that benefit patients and their families, including access to appropriate specialty care and coverage of clinical trials. Offers support groups at various locations and online for people affected by blood cancers.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers assist staff with clerical duties and special events, and assist patients and their loved ones with information, referrals, and support. Masters level professionals can become support group facilitators.
