Description:

Serves churches and communities and works with individuals and groups to help increase their understanding of the problem of hunger, both local and global. Helps them become involved in programs and activities which work to end hunger. Provides information about local and global anti-hunger organizations, speakers, and workshops. Provides information about hunger and the environment, lifestyle change, sustainable development, and other related issues. Supports and provides resources to relief and development organizations. Does not provide direct food assistance. Holds the Arizona Walk for the Hungry annual walkathon to raise funds for local and international hunger fighting organizations.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers perform administrative tasks, sort and distribute donations, work in the Clothes Silo, help with event coordination, serve on committees, and assist staff and other volunteers in a variety of ways. Accepts court ordered community service volunteers who are age 18 and younger and are in high school.
