Description:

Serves as the official repository for records of civil service personnel and military personnel who have been discharged from the US Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard. Preserves Official Military Personnel Files. Provides free copies of military discharge/separation papers (DD-214) to veterans and the next-of-kin of deceased veterans. Does not make corrections to records or provide locator services for active duty servicemembers.

Hours:

Mon-Fri 8am-4pm Central Time administration; Mon-Fri 7am-5pm Central Time by phone

Program Fees:

No charge for most documents including the DD-214
