Description:
Program places volunteers in countries worldwide to help fight hunger, disease, illiteracy, and poverty. Volunteers receive housing, monthly living stipend, free medical and dental care, and transportation to placement site. After 27 months of service, volunteers are eligible for a cash award. Also provides highly specialized volunteer assignments of three to 12 months for experienced professionals through the Peace Corps Response.
