Eligibility:
At-risk youth and their caretakers who must meet federal income poverty guidelines or special grant criteria. Legal issue must fall within Board established guidelines for application acceptance.

Description:
Provides civil legal services to at-risk youth through the Court Advisor Program, Free Advice Clinic for Teens, Guardianship Project, Guardianship Clinic, Teens @ Work Program, and Adoption Project.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteer attorneys represent caretakers in minor guardianship, adoption and severance, and special education cases for the benefit and safety of children. Volunteer lawyers are appointed as Court Advisers in high conflict family law cases in order to be a voice to protect the children who do not have the ability to speak for themselves. Volunteers also meet at-risk youth to offer legal advice and outreach presentations on civil legal issues.
