Potential pet owners in the United States. Adopters must pass a screening process and, if not local, must arrange transportation of their adopted pet.
Intake Process:
Visit website for adoption location and times. SAFE rescues dogs from local county animal control, owner surrenders (when space is available) and from border towns in Sonora, Mexico.
Description:
Rescues homeless dogs that may be euthanized. Dogs are placed in foster homes while being vetted and waiting for their forever homes. Since SAFE is completely foster based, dogs are shown at local Petco stores for meet and greets and adoptions.
