Clerical Management/Support Services Offices

Offices that are responsible for overseeing the clerical and other support functions of an organization including printing and reproduction services, word processing, mail handling and distribution, external mailings, records retention, office reception, purchase and inventory of office supplies (in smaller operations), janitorial services, office recycling, maintenance and repair of office equipment and other aspects of office management.

Facility Management Offices

Offices that are responsible for acquiring, planning, constructing, expanding, repairing and/or managing the utilization of a physical plant in order to most effectively provide for the delivery of services; arrange for security, supervise the management of basic utilities (heating, electricity, air conditioning and sanitary arrangements), and other similar tasks. Specific responsibilities may include long-range and annual facility planning; facility financial forecasting; real estate acquisition and/or disposal; architectural and engineering planning and design; new construction and/or renovation; work specifications, installation and space management; maintenance and operations management; energy management; telecommunications integration; security; and/or general administrative services.

Fleet Maintenance Offices

Offices that are responsible for overseeing the repair, maintenance and servicing of motorized vehicles and equipment (including light, medium and heavy duty automobiles, trucks, tractors and off-road construction equipment) that are owned and operated by an organization. Responsibilities include inspecting motorized equipment; diagnosing and determining the extent of necessary repairs; making required repairs; performing tune-ups; installing new and reconditioned parts and components; keeping a record of repairs; assisting in maintaining inventory control of replacement parts; and other similar fleet maintenance tasks.
