Circle the City
Eligibility:
People who are homeless or imminently homeless who are currently hospitalized or being treated in a hospital emergency room and have nowhere to go after being discharged and will need assistance with care after leaving the hospital
Intake Process:
Call; referrals from medical team, community outreach, or family (hospital social workers and case managers can assist with the process); visit website
Description:
Provides medical respite for people experiencing homelessness who are discharged from a hospital after treatment of a serious illness or major surgery. Offers mobile medical clinics.

Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm administration; 24-hours services

Accepts donations of new or gently used clothing, new socks and underwear, new shoes, gift cards, sunglasses and hats, personal hygiene items, computers, and office equipment and supplies. Also accepts monetary donations.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers must be age 18 or older. They help with administrative duties, language translation, art and music therapy, classroom instruction, transportation, special events, tutoring, accounting and tax preparation, and AA and NA group facilitation. Licensed nurses help with direct patient care.
