Description:

Provides emergency shelter, crisis intervention and stabilization for girls ages 13-17 who have been sexually exploited and/or trafficked or those who exhibit risk factors for trafficking. Services include addressing medical, physical, spiritual, and emotional needs; individual and group counseling; detailed case plans for physical and psycho-social wellness, educational success and completion, development of life skills and career goals, and assistance with legal matters. Special focus on dealing with PTSD and long-term effects of abuse and exploitation. Program emphasizes stabilization, customized treatment for trauma recovery and skill development, and transition to independence and healthy living. Offers networking with outside agencies to prepare a smooth transition for girls to move into independent living.

Hours:

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm administration; 24-hours residential services

Fixed; paid by DCS, state insurance, or private insurance provider

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers serve as mentors, help with office duties, provide direct services to residents through life skills classes and enrichment activities, and assist with fundraising and special events.
