Eligibility:

Adults who are homebound, unable to drive, and living independently in the Southeast Valley and surrounding area. Ability to enter and exit vehicles required. Unable to assist those who have dementia.

Description:

Provides services for homebound seniors and people with a disability in the southeast Valley of the Sun. Services include transportation to and from medical and social appointments, grocery shopping, client visits and welfare checks, and small repairs and tasks around the home including changing light bulbs and furnace filters. All services provided by volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers assist clients with transportation to and from medical and social appointments, grocery shopping, client visits and welfare checks, and small repairs and tasks around the home including changing light bulbs and furnace filters. Volunteers must attend orientation and interview. Volunteers must complete an application and sign a waiver. Some activities may require fingerprinting and background checks. Motor Vehicle Report and valid driver license required.
