Sun Sounds of Arizona - Yuma

Eligibility:

People who are blind or have physical or learning disabilities, and people who cannot read print for any medical reason

Intake Process:

Call for information. Visit website to fill out application. Must have proof of blindness or disability such as membership in Arizona Talking Book Library or the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired; or letter from doctor, nurse, or social worker.

Description:

Reads newspapers, magazines, books, community information over radio, telephone, and the internet. Coverage includes health, hobbies, homemaking, short stories, travel and radio theater as well as grocery ads. Programs for children, teens, adults, retirees. Call-in and interview formats are provided. Offers document conversion to audio cassettes. Sun Dial telephone reading service accessible on demand with touch tone phone to listen to national and local newspapers, local ads, and local election information.

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm administration; 24-hours broadcasts
