Description:

Recommends regulatory policy and rate recommendations to the commissioners which are based on an analysis of the benefits and impacts on all stakeholders and are consistent with the public interest. Regulates utility companies including electric, natural gas, sewer, water, and landline telephone companies. Consumer Services include investigations of consumer inquiries or disputes concerning rates or charges, installations or disconnections (proposed or recent), responsibility for a bill, requests for deposits, refusal of service by a utility, the quality and type of utility service, and a utility's policies and procedures.
