Enforces regulations and safety standards covered by the Consumer Product Safety Act, Federal Hazardous Substances Act, Flammable Fabrics Act, and Poison Prevention Packaging Act. Accepts complaints about consumer product safety, and investigates deaths and injuries involving products commonly found around the home. Issues product safety recalls.
