Angel Flight West

Eligibility:

Patients and families who are ambulatory and medically stable but need non-emergency medical transportation and cannot provide it for themselves

Intake Process:

Call or visit website for application; must apply at least 1 week in advance and have referral from agency or physician

Description:

Arranges free, non-emergency air transportation for patients to get to medical treatment and back. Transportation is provided by volunteer pilots who use their own aircraft. Passengers are required to provide a medical release signed by a physician indicating a satisfactory medical condition to take the flight. Pilots are not medically trained; service is not an air ambulance. Also transports supplies and rescue workers after disasters, assists with domestic violence relocation, and other compelling human needs.

Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm administration; 24-hours emergency hotline
