Families with children age 21 or younger who must travel at least 30 miles to Tucson for medical care

Description:

Provides lodging, comfort, and support for families whose children must travel to Tucson for medical care. Each family is assigned to a private bedroom, and have the use of the community kitchen and dining area. This is not a medical treatment facility, hospice, or hotel.

Hours:

Mon-Fri 9am-5pm administration; 24-hours facility

Wishlist:

Accepts donations of cars, boats, RVs; gift cards to theaters, gas stations, discount stores, and grocery stores; and prepackaged snacks, baking supplies, copy paper, and cleaning supplies. Also accepts monetary donations.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers answer phones, greet families and visitors, make up rooms so they are ready for new families, organize the kitchens and playroom, store and organize supplies and donations, assist with special projects, and inventory and restock linens and other supplies. Chef for a Day program allows groups to cook meals for families.
