HEAR for Kids Program

Eligibility:

Families with children age 18 and younger must meet financial requirements and be uninsured or underinsured

Intake Process:

Call for information; contact child's audiologist to apply

Description:

Provides hearing aids and access to audiology services for families in need. Works with child's audiologist to provide loaner hearing aids, primarily for children with newly identified hearing loss. Provides permanent hearing aids to families if they meet financial criteria and don't have other insurance coverage. Vouchers for audiological evaluation or medical evaluation, to provide medical clearance for hearing aids, are also available to families with financial need.
Assists hospitals, clinics, and providers to implement Newborn Hearing Screening, and provides referral and follow-up through the Arizona Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program (AzEHDI).
