Ceramics Instruction

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn or perfect their skills in ceramics, the art of fashioning clay into a variety of useful and ornamental objects using a variety of techniques including shaping, coiling, or using a slab or a potter's wheel, and then firing at high temperatures. Classes may also provide instruction in the use of glazes to decorate ceramic objects.

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for children who want to have an opportunity to paint, draw, color and/or work with clay, paper mache, plastics, wood, construction paper or other materials to create a variety of decorative and useful objects.

Drawing Instruction

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn or perfect their drawing skills. Classes include instruction in the fundamentals of drawing and focus on the elements of structure, content, drafting and aesthetics as they relate to drawing a variety of subjects using pencil, pen or charcoal.

General Arts and Crafts

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn the basics of a variety of crafts such as drawing, painting, ceramics, fiber art, digital photography, cartooning, mixed media art, beading and jewelry making.

Glass Art Instruction

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn or perfect their skills in making glass and glass articles. Included is instruction in glass blowing (the art of shaping a mass of glass by inflating it through a tube after the glass has been heated to a viscid state), lampworking, casting, sculpture, neon, glass painting and enameling (the art of fusing glass to metal).

Painting Instruction

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn or perfect their painting skills utilizing oils, watercolors, acrylics and other media and a variety of subjects and styles. Classes usually include instruction in composition, color mixing and blending, and the appropriate use of brushes, palate knives and other techniques to achieve desired effects.

Puppets/Puppet Craft

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn to create and/or manipulate marionettes in theatrical productions in which dialogue and music are provided by the puppeteer.
