Special Events
Events which may be held on a regularly scheduled or occasional basis at local aerodromes, airfields or other suitable sites which provide opportunities for people who are interested in aviation to see exhibits of different types of aircraft and to watch flying exhibitions by professional and military aviators and owners of private aircraft. Tours of aviation facilities may also be available.
Activities organized to celebrate, memorialize and sometimes recreate important events in the history of a people such as battles, treaties, speeches, national holidays, catastrophes that had an important impact or other similar occasions.
Community Celebrations/Festivals
Programs that sponsor festivals or other gala occasions which celebrate harvests, anniversaries of notable people, industries important to the area, religious events or other occurrences that are significant to the community.
Expositions and other events at which products and services are displayed, publicized, promoted and/or sold, often in combination with accompanying entertainment and amusements. Some exhibitions are competitive with prizes awarded to individuals or companies having the best wares whereas others such as garage sales are extremely informal.
Formal and informal public processions of decorated floats, marching bands, cheerleaders, equestrian groups, clowns and/or other participants who are marching in celebration of a special occasion like Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years Day.
