Bulk Mailing Services

Organizations that assemble, sort, stamp, bundle and transport bulk mailings as a service for other organizations. Also included are units within local post offices that process bulk mailings.

Document Copying Services

Copy centers and other local businesses that provide photocopying, duplicating, blueprinting and other document copying services. Also included are local businesses, government offices or agencies that allow people to make copies using their equipment.

Faxing Services

Local businesses that allow people to send and/or receive signatures, official papers and other documents using their fax equipment.

Post Offices

Local offices that are responsible for the collection, processing and delivery of letters, parcels, mailgrams and other material handled by the postal service as well as retail sales of postage stamps, mailing materials and other mail related items. Most post offices also have locked post boxes that customers can rent for delivery of their mail rather than relying on general mail delivery, a service that is provided at no cost.

Shredding Services

Businesses that destroy sensitive documents at the request of organizations to ensure that client, employee and confidential business information is kept secure; and for private individuals who want to safely dispose of bills, tax documents, credit card and bank account statements, and other items that could be used by thieves to commit fraud or identity theft. Shredding services may be provided onsite using mobile shredding trucks or at off-site shredding facilities; and typically handle office paper, staples, paper clips, books and binders, but with increasing security concerns customers can also request shredding of CDs, DVDs, hard drives, credit cards, reel tapes, cassette tapes and other, more durable materials.

Temporary Help Agencies

Organizations that supply workers to client businesses for limited periods of time to supplement the existing work force. The workers are employees of the temporary agency but their work is supervised by staff of the client organization.
